Get Active Outside This Spring

Published by Dr. Alden Clendenin

With the first few 50 degree days already under our belt, spring in Chicago is officially on its way! Like many people, you may have found yourself in hibernation mode these past few chilly months. Luckily, spring is a great time to get outdoors and to visit your chiropractor in Chicago. Here are a few things you can plan on to get yourself active and outside this spring.

Farmers’ Markets

No matter what part of the city you’re in, you’re never too far from a weekly, or even daily, farmers’ market. Get outside and get your steps in walking to and around your local farmers’ market. While there, it’s a good idea to get yourself some fresh fruits and vegetables, especially if you’re trying to focus on your nutrition!

Get Near (or on) the Water

The Lakeshore path, or the 606, is the perfect spot for those looking to run, walk, bike, or rollerblade! With a great view of the lake and the city, this area is very inviting when it comes to getting your heart pumping. Another option for those attracted to the lake is to rent kayaks or go swimming. Before getting back into your active outdoor regimen, consider paying a visit to your chiropractor in Chicago at Sports Injury Centers.

Visit Navy Pier

Navy Pier is one of the many places that comes alive in the springtime, with visitors in search of outdoor fun under the sun. This is a great place to rent a bike and pedal around the many shoreline parks, or possibly to dig your toes into the sand at Ohio Street Beach. This is a great option for adults and children alike!
